Making Tea - Food Project for Kids

Making Tea

Chinese tea
A cup of tea (thanks to http://www.teaaccessories.net/)

For the simplest tea project, make yourself a cup of black tea and drink it, just to see what it tastes like. You can just boil a little water and pour it into a cup and put in a teabag. Let it cool a little and then drink it. Don't put in any milk or sugar, to see how Chinese people drank it.

For a more exciting project, find someplace near you where somebody teaches or demonstrates the Chinese tea ceremony and go check it out. If you can't do that, you can watch this video of a Chinese tea ceremony.
