The Area of an Oval - Geometry for Kids - What is the area of an oval? How do we know the area if we only have the radii of the oval?

Area of an Oval

Area of an oval

The area of an oval is the part of a plane that is inside its circumference. To figure out the area, you need to measure the height and width of the oval. Multiply half the height by half the width, and then multiply that by π (pi). You figure out the area of a circle the same way, except that the height and the width are always the same in a circle.
