Momentum for Kids - An object in motion tends to remain in motion.

Momentum

Skateboarder

Momentum is the tendency that any moving object has to keep going unless something stops it. Tiny electrons have momentum, and so does this skater, and so do great big planets and stars; everything in the universe that has mass and is moving also has momentum.
