Roman Scavenger Hunt

Find objects which people did not have in Roman times, either because they hadn't been invented yet or because they came from some other part of the world.

Some suggestions:

anything plastic (toys, mixing bowls, spoons)
anything electronic (TV, VCR, telephone, doorbell, refrigerator, stove)
indoor plumbing (toilet, sink)
synthetic fabrics (nylon, fiberfill, rayon, polyester)
water heater
ballpoint pens
pencils
paper
New World foods like bananas and squash and potatoes
a lot of garbage and pollution
anything knit, like a sweater
photographs
